In-Line Hockey
Our
arenas offer state-of-the-art amenities such as CRYSTAPLEX dasher
boards with full glass enclosure and "Sport Court A-Tak" flooring.
The main arena is full size (180' x 80') and is ideal for players
12 years old through adults. Players as young as five years old
also enjoy the same amenities on a 120' x 60' rink. Our many leagues
such as in-house, travel, high school, and over 35 are open to
participants four times per year, spring, summer, fall and winter.
In addition to leagues, United Sports will offer opportunities
for teams to participate in tournaments against the best teams
in the eastern United States. United Sports will also be represented
in the USA Hockey In-Line Regional Championships by our league
players and coaches - You are invited to be a part of it all.
LEAGUES
Teams
and individuals as young as five years old are encouraged to register
for our In-House program. This program is the most popular as
it encompasses players and teams of all abilities including novice.
Each season will climax with playoff action. United Sports will
supply scorekeepers and referees for each game, you supply the
excitement.
TOURNAMENTS
Tournaments
are special events at United Sports with teams visiting from across
the state and country. Competitions are offered at various ability
levels of ability and age from intermediate to professional. Tournaments
are offered four times per year: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
CLINICS
Clinics will
be offered throughout the year where players will receive expert
instruction in basic skating and stick handling to more advanced
sessions covering defensive play and scoring strategies. Our classroom
sessions will cover topics such as positioning, situational play
and equipment setup and maintenance. To continue the development
of our athletes, special event clinics will be offered during
specified weekends and holidays throughout the year.
CAMPS
One
of the main focuses of the United Sports In-Line program is the
overall progress of our athletes. The development of physical
skills, respect, teamwork and sportsmanship are the nucleus of
our programs. At United Sports Summer Camp we engineer the perfect
learning enviroment to form the complete player.
COACHES AND REFEREES
Coaching
can be a fun and rewarding experience for Dads, Moms, Brothers
and Sisters. At United Sports, our coaches will enjoy professional
guidance and advice through seminars hosted by USA Hockey In-Line.
All referees are required
to be certified by USA Hockey In-Line and must meet all their
requirements and are under the direct supervision of the facility
Referee-in-Chief at all times. Becoming
a referee can be a fun and rewarding part time job. Referees are
paid very well but must keep a current certification and follow
specific guidelines set by the league Referee-in-Chief.
If you would like
to become a coach or referee, please contact Mark Hodge at mhodge@go2ustc.com.
