2007-08 Indoor Futsal League
What is Futsal?
Futsal is the only official form of indoor
soccer that is recognized and supported by FIFA and UEFA
with World and European Championships for club and National
Teams. The name 'Futsal' simply combines the Spanish words
for 'Hall' - Sala and 'Football' - Futbol into Futsal.
The game is played with a smaller, less
bouncy ball on a flat, hard court ranging from basketball-sized
to 27 yards x 45 yards and uses touch line boundaries
instead of sidewalls. Becauses there are four players
and a goalie to each team, the game is frequently called
Five-a-Side.
Because of the small court and lack of
walls, futsal requires good ball control and is an excellent
way for players to develop faster decision making, precise
passing, controlled touches, and quick reflexes.
Futsal League will be played during the
Winter Session I on Wednesday evenings between 5pm and
9pm beginning, November 14th.

Games will be 2 x 20 minute halves
5v5 (includes the GK)
Cost: $550 per team
Leagues will be offered for the following
age groups:
Under 9/10 Boys and Girls
Under 11/12 Boys and Girls
Under 13/14 Boys and Girls
